Sheena D. House

 

Sheena D. House is an inspiring and motivational actress that brings beauty, elegance and truth to her artistry.  Ms. House is a native of Broadview, Illinois; a western suburb in Chicago.  She embarked on her artist journey at the age of 3 when she began dancing at Stairway of the Stars Dance studio, which is now Maywood Fine Arts Association and continued to flourish in the arts when she started taking acting lessons at 8.  In order to fulfil her dream goals of one day being on Broadway, 20 years later at the age of 28, Sheena began vocal lessons.  Throughout Sheena D’s childhood, she performed in numerous recitals, plays, musicals and church productions throughout the Chicagoland area.  Keeping in mind that education is very important, Sheena not only thrived in the arts but also in academia.  She attended Loyola University Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Psychology Pre-Medicine and minored in Theatre.  Ms. House then went on to obtain her Masters in Social Work from Dominican University.  Sheena has worked for over 10 years in the social work field.

 

Though Sheena D. excelled in academics, she had the desire to continue investing in her artistry.  Sheena has had the esteemed pleasure to learn from some of the greatest entertainers, including Tasha Smith, Tommy Ford, Jemal McNeil and Dustin Felder.  She has also grown as an actress by taking workshops under talented casting directors such as Michelle Adams, Tracy ‘Twinkie’ Byrd, Phaedra Harris, Leslie Greene, Rhavynn Drummer and LaQuanda Plantt.  Ms. House has also studied  at Alchemy of Acting and Premier Actor’s Network with Nevaina Rhodes, Dwayne Boyd, Lalanya Masters and Nina Binder; acting coach from Susan Batson Studios, LLC.

 

Ms. House has been blessed to work on several projects in theatre, tv, film and commercials, such as Switching Lanes, A Raisin in the Sun as Ruth Younger, Lost Love, Waiting Room and Shave.  She recently wrapped on a webseries entitled Short Store-Y and is currently in Pre-Production for a new webseries.

 

Sheena prides and humbles herself in being a woman after GOD’s own heart, for she knows that ALL of her blessings come from HIM.  She is a mother of a 10 year old talented, creative and joyful son; Xion Gabriel.  Sheena D. House looks forward to working with many writers, producers and directors and making their work come to life on the stage or in front of the camera.  Sheena's motto to live by is desire, determination and dedication; and believes that FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS DEAD! Sheena Chicago, as the name that she has acquired, invites you to share on her journey to winning Emmy, Golden Globes, Oscars and Tony Awards!
